Low SHBG guys

Very astute, madman, and indeed understanding of the CAG repeat sequence of the androgen receptor is part of the new frontier of androgen replacement therapy. It is thought that variations in CAG repeat sequence can cause varying levels of "insensitivity" of the AR to circulating androgens. Likely a spectrum from mild insensitivity (think of the guys with "decent" total/free Testosterone levels yet still experiencing hypogonadal symptoms) all the way up to full blown androgen insensitivity.

I do believe the medical future of stem cells, gene editing, and nanobiotechnology will be very exciting!

The ability to test for androgen sensitivity is great, but if you happen to be insensitive as I am, there is still no treatment that can help you from what I have read in the above mentioned studies or on any TRT forum. Perhaps gene editing at some future date can offer a ray of hope.

I wonder if i should check mine and test androgen sensitivity. Its this AR gene test, am i right? Its very expensive test here, in Poland. Its like 1400$.

Although i didnt check all possible protocols for me (curently on 70 mg e3.5d) but got very low SHGB, 26 years old (9 nmol/l, range is between 11,4 - 52,3) and starting my 4th week now and still nothing special. I got maybe few days in this whole 4 week protocol that i felt slightly better with my erectile, mood and strength so if i could felt better sometimes then possibly my androgen sensivity is correct or it has nothing to do with it?

Also you cant do anything with androgen insensitivity problem? Scary thing...

My T problems are from very early times, possibly since little child because i always felt that something is wrong in me, less energy etc. I probably never felt in my entire life like normal, healthy guy but in the past (till about 22 years old) it wasnt as badly as its now. Year after year i am starting to feel worse and worse, new problems are appearing etc...

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
