Looking for Ways to increase testogel absorption

So I'm currently on TRT to help with my low T, however I have gone private here in the UK as my doctor said it would take roughly a year to get me in with a endocrinologist.

The treatment I am on at the moment is 70mg T (one testogel sachet + 1pump)
This is becoming quite expensive so I was wondering if there's a way to take 50mg by allowing more of that to be absorbed.

Phlojel is unavailable for me here in the UK however I can get a hold of DMSO in both a cream or liquid form.

If DMSO is my best option how much should I use? Before or after testogel application? Cream or liquid? If liquid will I need to dilute

Thanks in advance.

fwiw, i used dmso to increase absorption in the past, I never determined if it actually worked. Meaning I should have used a fixed amount both with and without dmso.

I used liquid dmso, put on the testos cream on and then rub on a dropper of dmso right afterwards.

Did you mean if cream would would need to be diluted, because you can't dilute the liquid dmso.0

DMSO here is pretty cheap, I would suggest give it a try with 50 mg and measure to see what your testos level after a a couple of weeks.

Nebido is available in the UK, why not try that or another injectable? (I am not sure what esters of testosterone are available in the UK outside of Nebido. )

With standard body application absorption will be 9-14% at best.

Using a loofah in the shower to scrub off dead skin cells and applying a moisturizer once the skin is dried before using the gel can help.

The gel formulations contain ethanol, which acts as a solvent for testosterone and helps its penetration through the skin (stratum corneum).

Doubtful using DMSO would increase the absorption to any significant degree and even then you would only be using 50 mg gel which is 5 mg testosterone and in many cases is not a high enough dose of T to achieve higher end TT/FT levels.

Most men using the big pharma transdermal gels end up needing 10mg/day to achieve higher T levels.

One surefire way to increase the absorption significantly would be through the scrotal application but unfortunately, you would need a cream base.

Absorption through the scrotal application is greater due not only to the thinnest stratum corneum, but it also has high steroid permeability much greater than non‐scrotal skin let alone scrotal skin is highly vascularized which will result in rapid absorption.

Your best bet would be to look into finding a doctor that will prescribe injectable esterified T.

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
