Hello
Thank you for your answer I already selenium about 350 mcg per day and 150 -200 mcg iodine per day for 4 years. I limit gluten and lactose
Which dosage do you recommend?
dry skin and rough, cracked heels
thin hair (hair loss is also common with too much thyroid)
thin eyebrows; outer third of eyebrow thin or missing
pulse below 70 or sometimes, over 90 beats per minute
morning basal temperature below 97.8 oF or 36.5 oC
constipation: bowel movements come out as hard pellets after heavy pushing
nightmares/disturbed sleep
I believe your supplements are fine. Have you ever had your reverse T3 checked, because of your symptoms you should definitely have that checked if you haven't.
I been thinking about Iodine use and what it may do. I read that you will go hyper when you start Iodine but you are to ignore it for 6 months. If you go hyper your RT3 will go up to compensate. This may be happening to some starting DHEA as well. I have use Iodoral 12.5 and Selenium for years. I didn't have labs for RT3 from before Iodine supplementation. My RT3 is top of range now. All other labs are close to what they was before Iodine. I wonder if the Iodine causes high RT3. If that is the case we are giving job security to the Doctors recommending this protocol.
