Introduction + Some background information

Background: 28 years old, decent shape. Workout 2-3 times a week with an ok diet.

Sex drive has been pretty shit for the past couple of years.

Got blood work drawn when I was 24 by my regular doctor and test was @ 400. Seemed low but he’s a real old school doc so he said as long as it’s in range I’m fine.

Fast forward to now I got blood drawn again on my own & it came back at 350.

Scheduled an appt with a health n wellness clinic near me to see a about getting a script for trt.

No idea how this visit will go but from others experiences trying to get on trt it is a nightmare that usually ends in having to go from doc to doc.

I’m hoping that since this is more of like an anti aging type clinic and that I’m paying out of pocket it will be easier.

I’m out of Birmingham, Alabama so plenty of doctors in the area but I’d rather just be one and done.

I’ll be bringing in the lab work I got done on my own a few weeks ago to the appt. Not sure if they’ll use it or want to draw their own.

Any tips, questions or a heads up on what to expect when I get in there?

Can you post that labwork here so you can get some feedback before your visit?

Sure thing.

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
