The slides are an AMAZING read. Thanks a ton for posting them. Its great that Dr. Crisler actually documents his protocols, methods, beliefs. Not only does he do so much for the men he treats, but he betters the entire TRT community with this information.
Great presentation! The most experienced doctors we dispense for use protocols similar to Dr Crisler's. Thanks for taking the time to put this together.
The slide does say that sleep apnea is a relative contraindication, which means that caution should be used with these conditions.
I have sleep apnea that is very well treated by VPAP therapy, and when I told my sleep specialist I was starting TRT, she just said that she would continue to monitor my therapy the way she had been - nothing different. I've had no change in my sleep apnea therapy, i.e. my AHI numbers remain where they were before I started TRT.
Because I have sleep apnea, I had actually tried to track down the study that showed a link between it and TRT. I only found one small study, and if I remember right, it was only one person in the cohort who had worsened sleep apnea. So, in my mind, it seemed like something that needed more study before a definitive conclusion could be drawn. If anyone else has more info, I'd love to read it.
This is a teaser they use for promotional purposes. The actual lecture goes an hour.
IF I could arrange it--and I do not know if I can--I would have to pay royalties and so forth. Would anyone be willing to buy a copy of the full lecture?
I was planning on buying your book when it comes out in a couple of weeks. Assuming the date doesn't slip again.
Does the book cover most of what is in the lecture?
