High Thyroid Antibodies

Hello,

I have a few years on TRT with very low success. I am also a low SHBG guy. But I just realized I had high TBG thyroid antibodies. I have TSH a little high but T3 and T4 normal levels.
The Dr. started me on Levothyroxine, so I am hoping that increases my SHBG a bit.

Do you guys think I may have Hashimotos disease, and may this be the cause of SHBG? and does the thyroid hormone replacement should help with the SHBG?

Post those labs so we can get a good conversation going as you've not given much of anything to have a solid discussion about. Besides that SHBG is extremely unlikely tied to Thyroid. Your so called low success in TRT is more likely tied to being treated in a manner that isn't consistent for a low SHBG guy.

Like the others, it's just a straw man conversation without labs.

Also, are you currently on any thyroid meds and/or supplements? Please post your protocol and help us with some talking points...

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
