Fish Oil Recommendation ?

Can someone recommend a good quality fish oil for me and my wife. I am going to try it again, last time it upset my stomach but maybe this time I can stick with it.

I use Now Ultra Omega-3 and all I can say is at age 51 I scored a zero on the Calcium Score Test. I do not know what I was before using it so take that with a grain of salt. It's on the high end of EPA/DHA too.

I use Nordic Naturals, I take the liquid form. EPA 745 mg DHA 500 mg pre teaspoon.

I take viva krill oil. And orange triad multi vitamin it has msm glucosamine. My joints love me now

Ask your doctor about Vascepa. Its a prescription fish oil that is only EPA.

I also use Now Ultra Omega-3. Highest EPA/DHA per capsule I have found and well priced. It is enteric coated so no fish taste after taking them and may help with stomach upset?

I seen on the 60 min's. TV show some yrs. ago that it is very hard to find true Omega 3 fish oil. They said the fishing boats that use to through out the junk fist now grind it up and try to sell it as good fish oil.

So after reading this and burping up rotten tasting fish and smelling like it I switched to Krill Oil.

For whatever reasons I've never had any issues with liquid fish oil. I supplement with two teaspoons twice a day. All the studies have been done with fish oil. Can you post some krill oil studies.

Supplementing fish oil is a great idea, but it's important to get it from the source as well, eating fish which enables your body to breakdown the fish oil the natural way is the best idea.

I have read freezing the fish oil caps works well for some people as they don't break down as quickly.

I tend to buy whatever seems reliable and least expensive per gram of EPA/DHA. Right now Costco has a sale of 1000 mg fish oil (300 mg omega-3) 400 caps for 7.50.

When the price is 16.99,. it's about the same value as a lot of other products.

Some products are have higher amounts of EPA/DHA per cap and maybe considered higher quality, but if you want more DHA/EPA take another cap.

I take cod liver oil. Bonus, it comes with vitamin A and D. Double bonus, it solved my sensitive-teeth issue long before I improved my diet.

I take is Sonne's Organic Foods, No. 5, Old Fashioned Cod Liver Oil from iHerb.

Per dose, it's far cheaper than capsules. And I prefer to avoid capsules because there have been a lot of issues with the oil going rancid. With sealed capsules, it's not easy to tell.

Still, if you're not cool with fish oil taste, avoid this. Or just block your nose as you take it
