elevated RDW

I just got my most recent lab results and my RDW is flagged high @ 16.2. I have not yet had a chance to discuss the meaning or importance of this with my Dr. I had not donated blood prior to this test either, but did 2 days ago as a precautionary measure to manage creeping hematocrit levels.
Is the elevated RDW any concern? No flags other than lh & fsh due to hcg and e2 due to me seeking a proper script for adex...

Can you go donate blood? If you get on a regular donating regiment, it will help. Also check your B12, which can be an indicator for RDW. How does your MCV look?

Yeah, don't worry about the LH & FSH, they will be tanked from hereon!
 
Check your B12. That IMO would be an area to first look. If the HCT was getting up there and RBC's then blood donations will help, B12 therapy can help the RDW if it's an issue. Sometimes these things can be real simple, sometimes not ...
