Hi Guys

Just got my DHT labs back and they are above range.... 2.190 nmol/L ..is that anything to be concerned about....from what I can gather I think its positive.
Free T is 18.4 and normal T 22.6
Should I adjust my protocol or keep things on track ?...........PSA numbers were 1.37.

Thanks in advance guys..

cheers

Having your DHT a bit above range is generally considered to be a good thing as long as you have no issues with your PSA (which it appears that you do not) or with hair loss. DHT is responsible for libido among other things.

Yes, you are converting at a higher rate to DHT subcutaneously. The skin has a high amount of the enzyme 5 alpha reductase which converts testosterone into DHT. As Vince noted, you can go to injections which will lower this conversion and hence lower DHT. Many men like higher levels of DHT as it's not a real health threat. Many experience a much stronger libido and gains in strength and lean muscle mass. Remember, DHT is 7 to 8 times more androgenic than Testosterone!

Morning CW
I have been on T-Gel for 6 months.....first 3 months on 1 sachet a day......had my T level checked and my level had barely moved to 5.4.
My regular doc was clueless.
I hit the web and did some research. Read up on frosting of the gel, which meant it wasn't being absorbed which I had noticed was happening to me.
Talked my regular doc into doubling my dose up to 2 x sachets a day.
I rotate the application sites moisturising my shoulders/arms and inner thighs. Apply on waking and second dose after showering each night + .5mg of arimidex twice a week, Sat/Wed.
As previously mentioned I have just changed docs to one in London. She changed my therapy by adding in 2 x 5mg of Prog a day and 50mg of DHEA.
After 2 weeks I have dropped the new therapy...(but I am maintaining the DHEA at a lower dose 25mg to avoid conversion to E).......achy joints, trashed sleep and generally feeling crap......
So back on my old protocol. But dropping the arimidex dose to .25mg twice a week as my cholesterol numbers were out...I have also started niacin therapy to help correct this.
Next labs in 6 weeks.

Cheers guys

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
