Defy Medical Refill Process

I realize that this topic has been discussed before, and I'd like to first say that I've enjoyed my consultations with both Dr. Saya and Dr. Calkins. My only issue is that I'm in my 11th week of my therapy, and I have yet to receive any refill reminders or consultation reminders. I just loaded my last hcg shot and probably only have another week left of testosterone. This plus the lengthy process of filling the order with Defy, the compounding pharmacy, and the shipping length has me worried I'm going to run out of testosterone. I like Defy, but why do they cut it so close with the refills when it takes so long? Or was I just forgotten? I tried refilling online last week at the store and it was put on hold. Now it says “processing”. I better just give them a call tomorrow, but have any Defy patients here run out of medication?

If you run out it's your fault. That's all there is to it. Their "reminder" system is so out of whack they should can the whole thing. For instance I'm getting Cypionate refill reminder today when I still have an entire vial of 50+ shots sitting here unopened. But that's your fault if you run out you have to be smarter and more proactive than having a reminder system holding your hand here.

Lighten up, Francis. I figured placing my order online last week was proactive enough. As a first-time customer, I didn't know I had to hunt down prescription refills when I was promised follow-up labs and a doctor consultation 3 months after the last one. I wasn't aware the customer had to do it all because that's not how 99% of businesses operate.

I have to side with Chris here. I am a Defy patient, and I'm happy with them so far. It does take a week or two to get your stuff from them after a new script though. I recently contacted them (a few weeks ahead of time) about scheduling my 3 month bloods and consult and their answer is "you will get a reminder".

Update: I called Defy right when they opened this morning and talked to Kelli. She was pretty helpful, and I also had her change my initial ground shipping to the express shipping. Ironically I received a refill reminder in my e-mail 2 hours later. They really need to set it up 4 weeks ahead of your run-out date instead of the actual run-out date because these are hormones here. She also helped set up my scheduled blood work. Now I know I have to take matters into my own hands for next time.

Its not just the Tele sites that people struggle with. My Eurologist and CVS are such a PITA I am almost willing to just quit TRT and throw in the towel.

I have resorted to reducing my dosage and extending the injection cycle from 7 to 8 days just so I won't run out of medicine before the last injection, before I start what I am in now, a frustrating process of dealing with my DR, the insurance company and CVS on my next refill. The sad part is, it could and should be so simple.

I even explained it to my dr in an email how easy it could be with no help. I am sitting and waiting now on this. Truly frustrates me.

Does anyone have their Defy refills done through a local pharmacy vs. Empower, etc? I'm thinking about doing that, one to save cost on shipping. Two, to get my refills the same day I order. I believe Defy charges $25.00 to send a script to a local pharmacy?

That's pretty interesting. I'd also like to know this.

Apparently they either will not or cannot send prescriptions to pharmacies outside of Florida. Not sure how it works with Empower (in Texas), but I was told they would not send my Rx to my local CVS.

Sure wish they could though.

I placed an order online on 3/23 for cialis thru Defy and it hasn’t even been processed. I’m not happy with the ordering process they have. The last order I made took nearly 4 weeks to receive from time of order. Someone at Defy needs to address this if they want to keep customers.
