Could I have crashed my e2?

I had not had any AI in about 2 weeks. I started to think me e2 was getting high so I had a blood test. The test was just the normal Estradiol test, not sensitive. The results showed my Estradiol was very high. I then found a place here in Oz that does the E2 sensitive test so I got a test done. The results were going to be a week or so. I started to think me E2 was getting high so I took 0.25mg Anastrazole. The next day I was still feeling crap so I took another 0.25mg. Since then I've been having symptoms. The two nights in a row I woke up very sweaty. This never happens to me normally. Also, I have been very shaky. My hands have been shaking a lot. Is this a low E2 symptom? I should hopefully have the sensitive E2 results today or tomorrow but this test was done before I took the AI.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Definitely stop taking your AI, sounds to me like your estrogen is low. Personally I would never adjust my AI without the sensitive estradiol test. For me low estrogen is too scary.

Thanks Vince, I definitely won't be taking any more. Have you heard of this being shaky thing before? My hands are very shaky and I don't feel good.

I just got the results of my E2 Sensitive Test. Here is the result:

Sensitive Estradiol 37pmol (36-155)

The test was done when I hadn't had an AI for a couple of weeks. Since then I had the two lots of 0.25mg anastrazole. Would it be fair to assume that my E2 is now a lot lower than the 37?

Edit: I just realised most on here use the pg/ml units of US/Canada so I've done the conversion. It's 10pg/ml.

I remember you thinking that your E2 might be high but you did not have the right Estradiol test at the time. You definitely have low E2. Even though .25 mg of anastrozole is a small amount by volume, it is a very powerful medication.

At least you have the right test now and truly know what your E2 is. It takes approximately 10 days to get the AI completely out of your system. I've never experienced low E2 like many have but I understand it is a really terrible feeling. You could supplement with DHEA to help bring the E2 up. In many men, DHEA converts mostly to Estradiol. Once it comes up you could discontinue the DHEA supplement. It's relatively inexpensive.

You got good advice from Vince and the others here. Goes to show that changing your regimen without the proper labs can really mess you up!

I had the same shakiness (along with other symptoms) when I crashed my E2. Even though it's not been fun you'll learn something from this experience.

I hope you get back on track quickly.

These AI's are no joke. I have taken three .25mg of Anastrozole in the past week. My prescription calls for me to take it twice a week with injections so I did that last Wed & Fri. Today was my injection day so I took it again. Every single time I take this I start to develop joint pain that starts in my left shoulder and shifts to my knees and then wrists. I was finally starting to feel better this morning, but now that I took it again I feel lazy and joint pain. Obviously this dosage is too high for me. Don't know what to do because I know I need it, but I need a lower dose than this. It's just too strong.

Why do you say you know you need it? Is that based on labs? Past symptoms? Your doctor's preference? Just curious.
Yes, I need it based on my labs, my symptoms, and doctor's preference. I have been on TRT since June. My E2 was constantly elevated. On 150mg of test per week my E2 came back at an 81. When I reduced my dosage to 100mg per week my E2 was still sitting at 39. My symptoms with high E2 are always low libido and lack of penile sensitivity, mood swings, and elevated body temperature. During my consult with Defy I was recommended for an AI based on these symptoms, body fat% and the new increase in dosage to 140mg per week.

The doctor prescribed 25mg of Anastrozole two times per week during injection days. The problem was I switched my injections to M/W/F. Took the AI on Wed, Fri which I think is too close together. I should've waited a week to separate the dosage out further. I've had symptoms of high E2 for a while now so I have no doubt I need it, I just need to get the right dosage for me.
