Anyone Used Hikma Testosterone Enanthate?

Hi All,

Has anyone had experience with Hikma testosterone enanthate? I believe they are the only generic manufacturer left for enanthate unless I'm mistaken. It contains a preservative called chlorobutanol. Not sure if that's any better or worse for your health vs the preservative that's in cypionate which seems to be benzyl benzoate or benzyl alcohol.

The carrier oil is sesame seed oil in enanthate vs cotton seed oil with cypionate. Not sure if that matters much either. Some people seem to like enthanate more than cypionate and vice versa. Not sure of the purity, potency and consistency of the Hikma brand. Xyosted is the only other enanthate preparation I am aware of but it's much too expensive.

Any feedback would be most appreciated!

It's Hikma Testosterone Enanthate, which only has sesame oil and 0.5% chlorobutanol. That is the lowest possible concentration of a preservative I have seen in a multi-use vial. Chlorobutanol is given as a sedative drug in large doses like 150+ mg orally and seems pretty harmless in the tiny doses you would inject.

Hikma TE is the generic version of the brand named Delatestryl.

Both formulations use sesame oil as the carrier and 0.5% chlorobutanol as a preservative.

Your only option for preservative-free TE would be Xyosted.

This is sad to hear!

Delatestryl has been in use since 1956!

Looks like we are stuck with the generic Testosterone Enanthate manufactured by Hikma.

At least we still have the option for big pharma Depo-testosterone manufactured by Pfizer Canada Inc. or the generic Testosterone Cypionate manufacture by Taro Pharmaceutical Inc.

Downfall here is the TC is only available in the 100mg/mL strength in Canada...

Never mind - yes Hikma’s test E does contain sesame oil. Answered my own question!

By the way, notice that the McKesson site says delatestryl’s manufacturer is Hikma.

Big pharma Delatestryl was discontinued in the US and it was manufactured by Endo. Pharmaceuticals Inc.

Hikma is the generic equivalent (same strength, ester, carrier oil, excipient) as brand name Delatestryl...

Sesame.

There is no BOH in the formulation.

I use the Hikma brand. I started about a year ago on the Delatestryl and liked it a lot, no side effects. Then a few months after I started they discontinued Delatestryl, which was disappointing to me. But I replaced with the Hikma brand and I don't notice any difference, seems to be pretty good. Possibly it bubbles up a bit more when withdrawing from the vial, but no complaints otherwise.

Hikma testosterone enanthate is great stuff. When I first started TRT, it was actually the only formulation that I could tolerate well. Over time, I have somehow become more normal and am able to use a variety of formulations. It still holds a fond place in my heart, and we continue to use it for my wife's TRT.
