I tried it and some of the other supplement ideas here to no avail. My SHBG was on the high side at 50 when I started injections and stayed there even doing larger weekly T shots. I changed my shot days and added a small AI dosage of .125 (E3.5D) 10 weeks ago. I was having very sore nipples and bloat with my E2 at 48. My SHBG has dropped from 50 to 36 and my E2 dropped from 48 to 26.
OTC Supplements just didn’t work for me on either E2 or SHBG management.
At Dr. Saya's recommendation, I took stinging nettle for several months while trying clomid monotherapy. Pre-clomid, my SHBG was at 52, and it got as high as 68 while on clomid. Perhaps the stinging nettle kept it from going even higher, but I don't think it really did anything for me.
.
I'm now about 2 months into TRT and will have my first bloods in a few weeks. I have not been taking stinging nettle since beginning TRT, so I'll be interested to see where my SHBG is now.
