Can't speak for Nelson, but lots of us use 27g 1/2" for test. Lots of guys here use smaller gauge needles than that but I'm a newbie and don't want to try squeezing that oil through such a tiny needle with my shaky old hands.

Oh , well look. I just went back and looked. Ordered 27g, got 28g

I also ordered 2 packs of 27 ga. and got 28ga. Guess it's hard to hire good help that can read an order sheet. Stuff like this is my pet peeve, I get more free meals because I XXXXX when the hired help can't get orders right.
I'm not looking forward to 200 bent sticks in my hard as leather ass and body. )
