Month of a Clomid Restart Plus Nature Thyroid

Hi All. Just got back my labs after my second month of a Clomid restart with Defy. The first month protocol was 12.5 mg daily. After a month with a little subjective improvement (but not a lot) we upped it to 25g daily compounded with 0.15 of
Arimadex. We also started on 1grain daily Nature thyroid and selinuim.

Well not feeling great this month. Labido shot, Brian fog and fatigue worse than before. Also more water retention noted.

I'm scheduling a follow up but would value your thoughts.

Things I've noticed looking at my labs. Free Test is fairly high while Total test has dropped from last month. E2 seems low. And not much of a change in thyroid numbers.

Im thinking that I'd like to try going to 2 grains daily Nature Thyroid and giving up Clomid and starting TRT. I'm very aware of the commitment TRT requires.

So you were on 12.5mg clomid from approximately 11/13 - 12/13? Then 25mg from 12/13 to now?

I'm just trying to clarify.

You haven't had a great response to clomid, honestly your LH has hardly moved. It's possible that your thyroid not being dialed in properly is delaying clomids results, but again I don't know that your thyroid isn't dialed in, your 1/30 labs didn't have thyroid hormones on them.

Yes on the Clomid timeline.

My LH actually decreased when the dose was increased to 25mg. My TSH actually resulted sepreatly. My current TSH is 4.7 range 0.45-4.5.

I can't help but think that being hypothyroid will change how a clomid protocol works.

Is there any reason you didn't have thyroid levels tested? I'm not familiar with how long you wait after starting meds to get tested for thyroid issues, so I'm no questioning defy, it may be that you have to wait x amount of time to test much like with TRT.

Are you paying for labs?

I had my TSH checked on my first panel before Clomid and then we added a full thyroid panel on the 2nd set after 1 month of Clomid, added Nature Thyroid and retested after one month of Clomid at 25. Not sure about when I didn't get them tested.

Im paying for labs until this years deductible is met. Then will use insurance. But Im not cutting corners with labs to save any money. What ever they recommend I'm haveimg tested.

I was curious about the effects of hypo Thyroid on Clomid as well.

Thanks for your thoughts, it's appreciated!!

Oh, sorry I thought you started thyroid meds after your 1st set of labs here, the 12/13 set of labs.

Although your thyroid levels seem to be about the same as they were before, so I think that may be holding you back. I don't know if that's the case or not, this is complicated, the interaction of thyroid hormones and clomid.

I also don't know if your thyroid symptoms improved or anything.

I just noticed there wasn't a TSH on the second set of labs, but in retrospect that's not too important.
