Deca for TRT - effects on e2 and hematocrit vs Test?

my doc has put me on a 100 test/100 deca regime instead of my usual 200mg of test, his thinking is that this will lower my e2 a little as well as possibly help my hematocrit which has been creeping up

Are there any studies or anecdotes that compare the hematocrit raising effects of nandrolone vs the same amount of test? I understand that deca can also raise RBC levels but my doc says its not as pronounced as test. He's a very smart guy but any confirmation would be appreciated

As an aside, it seems AIs also increased RBC so not taking one seems even more beneficial to me now. My plan is to drop some adipose to hopefully lower aromataze activity which should put my e2 down to ideal normal with the 50% lower dose of test

sounds like a progressive doc. knowing about deca- not sure if it will help. I'm on 60 mgs deca 2wice a week. and 40 mgs test eod

It should definitely lower your E2, but I don’t think it will lower your hct. Also it will be interesting to see what affects on your dht

My thoughts echo vince’s. Nandrolone doesn’t really convert at all into 17 beta-estradiol, which is the estradiol we all reference and refer to on HRT. Men on 300mg of nandrolone only will have an E2 level of around 5-6. So on 100mg of nandrolone u’ll have basically no conversion from it. Only E2 u’ll have is from the 100mg of test. So ur E2 should drop in half switching to this protocol.

I think this protocol will have ur HCT at the same level it is currently, or slightly higher. Wouldn’t worry too much about RBC’s. They correlate with HCT. So if HCT is high, ur RBC’s will be equally high as well, and the to lower either it’s the same solution. Either lower dose or donate blood. All HCT is, is a test of the ratio of RBC’s to whole volume blood. So I usually just focus on HCT and base my decision to donate or not on HCT, not RBC level. Just my preference I guess.

I’d also be curious where ur DHT will end up in this protocol. I would assume it would also be cut in half, since nandrolone doesn’t convert at all into DHT.

I did stop for two weeks. After having a good cholesterol panel, with nandrolone. I decided to start back on nandrolone. I do enjoy using it and hopefully I’ll get good results from it. When I get Labs I will post them.

When it comes to dd, everyone is going to give you their anecdote. Everyone is different and there doesn’t seem to be a good consensus of when and why it happens.

That’s what sucks. I wish we actually knew exactly what causes guys to have erection issues when using nandrolone and testosterone together. Seems like everyone has theories but nobody actually knows for sure. For instance, everyone always thought it was due to nandrolone increasing prolactin like crazy. But turns out nandrolone converts to prolactin at an extremely low rate. But that doesn’t mean it can’t sensitize prolactin receptors and make the prolactin created by testosterone much more effective, like some theorize.

So when guys experience DD, is it just elections that are effected? Do these men also have libido issues? Do they go hand and hand with DD? If men are having normal libidos, just ED, maybe that can narrow down the cause a bit

My libido went a few weeks after the ED happened for my when I’ve taken Deca in the past.
