Zinc and Aromatase

In my first post I stated that my estadiol was less than 5 and my T was 502. I have been taking a zinc supplement faithfully for years, 25 to 50mg per day. Does anyone think that this is what could have pushed my estradiol so low by blocking the conversion of T to estroge ? Also as I have stopped taking the zinc and am wondering now as my E comes up will my T go down as the T conversion to estrogen is going to take place ?

It will be interesting to see what happens to your estradiol now.

Healthy estradiol (in pg/mL) is usually :

Total testosterone in ng/dL divided by 17 (or so since 14-20 T/E ratios have been correlated with best fertility and lowest gyno incidence)

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
