When you move to a lower dose more frequently injection protocol your serum levels are much more stable...which is what we are striving for, therefore it makes no difference when you get tested.
For me, I inject Monday AM and Thursday PM so I will have blood pulled on either Monday or Thursday AM...but it really makes no difference.
If I understand you correctly, Gene tests the morning of his needed injection whether that is Monday or Thursday but that because we inject twice a week the usual trough won't be severe.

"therefore it makes no difference when you get tested." -That's clearly contrary to standard practice.
I'll still test at what I view as my trough, Thurs AM, before my injection. I'd rather test at any low point than any peak.
