Long time lurker, first time poster.
I've been on TRT for about 5 years now. I used to buy Empower compounded testosterone propionate compounded by Empower through Defy and recently tried to purchase another vial and found out they stopped producing and selling it. I decided to go with testosterone enanthate in MCT oil which was compounded by an unknown compounding company. I received a notice that was I was getting a package from Vios Compounding Pharmacy with no notification from Defy. So I figured it was either the Pregnyl or enanthate I had ordered. I decided to do some research on Vios and found out they have a pretty horrible track record. Mainly with GLP-1 medications. I also found a few reddit threads stating how they have been written up by the FDA about not meeting regulations in terms of cleanliness at their facility. Come delivery day, I open the package and found one 5mL vial of enanthate MCT oil when my prescription was for 10ml. I was missing one vial. Womp womp. So I decided to call and went through their automated call system. Albeit I was calling afterhours, I got to the voicemail part and their voicemail was full. Womp womp #2. I emailed Defy, sent photos of the delivered box, vial I received, and my prescription they put on the bottle. I'm still waiting on my second vial as of right now.
As of right now, I took my fist dose at 0.25ml (50mg) this morning with no real issues. I've been using the same 31 gauge needles I've always used. But as the day has gone on, I've noticed a major irritation spot where I injected this morning. I'm not entirely sure if I'm allergice to MCT oil as a carrier oil or if the cleanliness issues most people have reported is a problem. I've used MCT oil in my coffee and tea and other bake goods we've made around the house. I've never had any GI issues with them but I've also never injected myself with food grade MCT oil as that's not what it's used for. Anyway, just wondering if anyone has interacted or received anything compounded from Vios and what might be my plan of action if I am having an issue with their product.
