TRT Doctors NYC Area ?

Hello:

I use Dr Mellinger in Long Island but Im looking to switch. Dr Mellinger doesn't prescribe HCG and he just treats numbers it seems. Can someone recommend someone in NYC or NJ? I was looking at the tele-docs like Defy but none of them seem to accept insurance. At least Mellinger took my insurance. Any advice? I have been on T for 10 years BTW. I want to add HCG due to testicular shrinkage.

A lot of insurance companies don't cover fertility treatments such as HCG, you may be out of luck getting insurance companies to pay for it.

You get better care when you move away from doctors who take insurance, a typical doctor who takes insurance will chase the numbers because insurance companies don't like men above 800 ng/dL and will stop your TRT as a result.

My current insurance (Cigna) doesn't cover my testosterone. I pay at the pharmacy out of pocket. But they do pay for the visits to the urologist and blood tests.

I’m a patient of Dr Michael Rotman and I just started TRT. First of all I must say he’s a great Urologist who knows his shit. Anyways, I’m prescribed 100 mg a week of Test Cyp, along with 250 IU of HCG twice a week. Also, when I started I also asked for blood work and he will be checking my levels every couple of months. I heard he will script an Ai if my E2 gets jacked, but I’ve been reading, it’s not that luckily to happen. I’m so glad I didn’t just start with Testosterone Only and chose Dr Rottman because the combination of both can raise my Testosterone quicker

Same here. And same protocol, 100mg test c and 250 units HCG twice weekly. Recently added in daily Cialis. He is a great doc. I have been through 4 or 5 docs over the last 10 years.

Yeah he made me feel comfortable and welcome. I don’t get that from a lot of doctors. It was my first visit today. I go back to see him in a month. He gave me Test Cyp to last 2 months in a month script so I’ll always be ahead and worry free. Also the HCG I get directly from him. $60 for 6000 6ml

He is a very very nice doctor and really knows what’s he’s talking about. Also My prior authorization for the Test Cyp was literally taken care of within 24 hours. The office staff is awesome too. Does he give you extra medicine as well every month? I’m prescribed 100mg weekly but he writes out for double just to have more I guess if he ever increases dosage you are ready
