TRT and Immune Response

Been reading articles stating that patients that had higher levels of testosterone had a low or slower immune response and lower T cell count. Just wondering if there is any truth to this? I've had an hpv infection for 7 months now and it's wearing me out. It seems to get worse if my levels are higher. Needing advice to put this into dormancy . Diet is solid , thx

I don't know where you read that, and would be curious to see the citation. I do know that Nelson has had an impeded immune system for decades and TRT, as he's written, has had, if anything, a positive impact on his immune function.

Perhaps it is a coincidence but since I started TRT a year go, I get sick less often. I feel it has helped my immune system

I've been on TRT all most 2 years now, I also believe I get sick less.

It was smaller study, but here is one that relates Testosterone levels and CRP.
The effect of testosterone replacement therapy on adipocytokines and C-reactive protein in hypogonadal men with type 2 diabetes. - PubMed - NCBI

Testosterone replacement treatment decreases leptin and adiponectin levels in type 2 diabetic men. Moreover, low levels of testosterone in men are associated with pro-inflammatory profile, though testosterone treatment over 3 months had no effect on inflammatory markers.

I just googled testosterone levels and immune response, there were several differences articles. Some of which stated that was why men got sick more often than women due to their higher levels of test. Not saying I believe it just wanted some input and open discussion
