Tried Methylprednisolone for low cortisol replacement

Hey, a quick background, I had a saliva cortisol test in the past. Dr Saya said 8am was low-about .25ish (max is .6) He also said noon cortisol made a huge drop.

I tried some methylprednisolone. (2) 4mg tablets in the morning for 2 days. Maybe a slight boost in energy but did nothing for libido really.

Is this enough medication, and time to rule out a low cortisol problem for lack of libido?

8mg is a decent dose. But to really rule it out I would try 12mg. But I gotta tell ya, I have not heard of low cortisol being a cause of lack of libido before. Unless cortisol was really really low. Then you'd be too exhausted to perform anyway.

In any event there's likely no harm in trying the 12mg. I used to take 10mg of hydrocortisone at a time twice a day. 12mg is only 2 more than my 10.
