What this means? It means there are potentially a lot of people walking around with dx's of diabetes or completely unaware they have diabetes that could be resolved if someone bothered to look into low T as a causal factor.
Insulin sensitivity can be restored with the right dose of TRT which can also be used to treat insulin resistance. Something few if any docs know about.
There still needs to be more studies done longer term to see just how TRT was able to reduce FBG, fructosamine, and a1c levels. I am sold on TRT. I just have to resolve the increased potential major risk factors in my case (thrombosis, hypertension).
Marco, I thank you for many of your posts. Testosterone has improved all markers of my MetS. Sadly, I am still "slightly diabetic" even w/ T and other medications. I too am hypertensive. Had a cardiologist do a full work up before TRT and he was completely on board. The only issue I have had in regards to this is exacerbating my issue w/ water retention but as I lose weight it is slowly resolving itself Hope this anecdotal stuff helps. Just keep monitored closely in the beginning. Many of the issues you have written about in the past I have seen improvement w/ in my own health since starting TRT.
