Well, I sure have had issues with TRT... started 6 weeks ago on 100mg/wk, injecting 2x... changed it up to 3X pins... but though it got my Free t up from 5.2 to 27 and last check estradiol and Hematocrit were fine... I feel lousy... heart rate averages 90-100, wake up every 2 hours or so... anxiety is pretty high...
I have had gut issues for a long time and recently they have gotten worse... I an concerned that I might have Lyme Disease, yes I know, sounds like I'm a nut-roll... but have had two lesions on my legs, one went away... for a few months nos that look a lot like the lyme pics online... so that could explain it... I think until I get that looked at/diagnosed... I should stop... do I look forward to nasty crash symptoms now? Jeeze!

Do u think the increase in heart rate is because of increase in testosterone levels in blood or is it due to increase in estrodiol levels? Did you try taking AI?

I am not sure what caused it, could be estrogen, could be the T... but I still have elevated heart rate... not as bad... but concerning... yes I took some Anastrozole/Arimidex briefly... felt REALLY bad on it... then lately took a very small .125 twice. Last pin was Friday... so I will probably feel crummy for another week...
I got leg swelling recently, was sent for a doppler... and now have a blood clot in lower left leg... my Endocrinologist thinks TRT may have triggered it, even in only 7+ weeks. I am off, of course. Arimidex is known to cause clots in some.
I really regret ever trying TRT.
I know that sounds negative.. some guys do great on it.

Sorry u have to go through this. I think it takes lot of trial n error to identify right dosage. I currently take 20mg test EOD and 200 mg HCG EOD. I have normal testosterone level but elevated estrogen levels. There is no side effects of high estrogen except high heart rate.
Before i start TRT my heart rate was 60 and now after TRT, it went to 90. I am thinking it must be Testosterone and not estrogen. I am still trying to bring my estrogen to below normal and see if my heart rate changes, if not then the culprit is testosterone. Its either 2 of these. Testosterone is good for your body. It helps u build muscle and lose fat and also increases RBC and many benifits. You have to figure out dosage and thsts pain in the ass.

JJ-Other than the TRT and Lymes possibility, would you consider yourself to be in good health? Exercise regularly, eat clean and get ample amounts of sleep? TRT is a great treatment however my opinion is you have to live a pretty clean life to really get the true benefit of it. You may need to find something to burn off that extra anxiety and lifting weights 4x per week does it for me. Good Luck, my friend!

Yes, per-COVID, I was working out 3-4x/wk pretty hard... gyms are open again as of this week, but with the clot, probably can't go...
Yes, TRT works well for guys with low Free t usually... more dangerous for guys with normal T who go on it to bulk up... My Free T was low.

I may be an unlucky case... maybe overly sensitive to the T... such side effects as what I got are rare, but that means there are some who roll snake-eyes.
Another real bummer is that the drugs for clots are more dangerous than the T... by far. Double whammy.
GL with yours!

When I first tried TRT, I was prescribed 1mg anastrozole/wk... that was way too high for me and for most... I quit after 4 weeks, the UroDoc I had was a douchebag...
A few months passed then I tried again with no AI... when I was feeling really lousy, I thought it could well be estrogen, so took a .125 of theanastrozole I had left over and felt MUCH better pretty quickly... so yes, elevated heart rate could well be estrogen... mine is still up, as I stopped TRT since last friday, still have T in my system but my estrogn might have climbed... I just might take another .125... but with a blood clot, everything is risky... the meds they prescribe are risky as hell too... I might try a combo of DMSO, Nattokinase, Serrapeptase and mag oil... see if it makes a big difference until Tuesday, my next INR (coagulaton) test... time... it might... though my Docs will freak that I blew off the meds until then... ;-)

I dont think so AI will causes blood clots. I am not sure though. You can just take AI to reduce estrogen which will increases the testosterone and see how you feel. Do you have high abdominal fat or acne issues? It might very well be due to estrogen. Long term estrogen spike will cause more issues then low T itself. Please do more research. What i am saying is anecdotal.
