Been on TRT for 9 years now with no major issues. Blood work has been consistent for years now but all of a sudden Estradiol spiked from normal 60-65 range for me to 137.9 I know i need SHBG but Dr never runs it. Thoughts of should try aromatase inhibitor or what?

last set of labs 4/26/23

Total Test 803 Range 264-916
Free Test 24.7 Range 6.8-21.5
Estradiol, sensitve 137.9 Range 8.0-35.0
Hemoglobin 17.3 Range 13.0-17.7
Hematocrit 50.2 Range 37.5-51.0

Experiencing any sides from the elevated E2?

I would personally double check it to make sure it’s not a lab error. If u don’t want to go through ur doctor, discountedlabs has a really cheap sensitive E2 test. Think it’s around $30 or so. Would get it retested before jumping to any conclusions

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
