This is my 6-month checkup. I had the blood test performed at my trough, so I'm concerned at how high the total is. I'm on cypionate, 2x subq per week, .25 cc per injection (100 mg / week). Given that the estradiol is at 21 (sensitive) I suspect the super-sensitive test would mark it lower. Am I right to be concerned with the high total?

I'm probably the least qualified to answer the number-specific questions...but I'm curious as to how you feel in general at these levels and if you feel you're experiencing any side effects right now?

I feel pretty good now from a mental/emotional POV. Very stable, relaxed, and calm. I very rarely have any off days as I did with Androgel. Getting good sleep seems to be of greater importance now however, more so than at any time in my life.

My libido/erections quality is not what it was. I do have consistent morning erections, sometimes it can be annoying as it may start like 3:00/3:30 in the morning and wake me up and then I fall back asleep and another one, and then another one.

My hemo and hematocrit have increased from 12.4 and 40.6 respectively from last August, when I was doing blood donations every 3 months. I may do one more soon.

My PSA was 0.4 FWIW.

That is great news. What a problem to have (wood at 3 am)!

Be careful with donating blood too frequently since your ferritin can decrease which can make you tired for weeks.

I think you look great; pretty dialed in and if you feel good don't change a thing.

You might want to add into your protocol, if not already, 50 mg each morning of DHEA and Pregnenolone to help "back-fill" your pathways.

Test Results after 9 months on injections

My estradiol has shot up from 21.2 to 38.2 in just 3 months. I'm doing 100mg/week, subq, injections Wed morning and Sat evening. I did fast and had this test prior to my Wed injection. My estradiol has been on the lower side for 6 months then shot up here. Overall I feel fine - regular morning erections, etc. Hematocrit and hemoglobin under control.

I wonder if I should dial down my dosage slightly to keep my estradiol under control.

DHT

117 ng/dL

Estradiol Sensitive

38.2 pg/mL

SBHG

I would not change a thing. Your estradiol is fine, specially at your T level. Your free T is moving in the right direction.

Thanks Nelson. BTW - my ferritin was only 19. Didn't you recently post an article about lower ferritin levels may be better? I've been trying to find that post.

Do these higher levels of estradiol, total, free, or DHT make one more susceptible to potential side effects?
Higher blood pressure, etc?
