Lab results after 6 weeks on testosterone

Currently I'm taking Test C 250mg SQ a week. My lab results were before I treated myself. My doctor wouldnt treat me even with all the symptoms. Test 479ng/dl, free 9.8, shbg 34,LH was 3.4 and FSH was 5.5. So 6 weeks later i got labs done per discounted labs. MY current labs are test >1500 and free 34.6 and estradiol sensitive 125.1. I now know my current dose is too high. My question is should I take arimidex now and decrease dose or just decrease dose and wait, If I wait how long should I wait till I get another lab test. Thanks for any help.

Definitely just lower your dose. Don't take an AI. It's going to take around 6 weeks for you to see where your levels are going to end up, but no reason you can't get labs done in 3-4 weeks to see where they're at. Obv they will be continuing to fall after that blood test, but it will give you a peak into where they are at.

If blood tests aren't covered by insurance, and if money is tight, I would just wait the full 6 weeks. Me personally, I'm very inpatient lol, so if you're like me and can't wait, you can check around the 3-4 week mark just to get an idea. With this info, even knowing things will continue to fall, you can still make a pretty good educated guess on where things might end up.

What is the free t range? I use quest for labs so not sure. Is the top of the range 18? Your free t before treatment was 9, so if you could just double that you would be at the top of the range. So to double free t, maybe try getting your total t to double what it was prior to treatment, which would be 479 x 2 = 958. So if you tested >1500 on 250mg/ week, maybe try cutting the dosage in half which might leave you with a total t around 900 or so. I would drop down to something like 125mg/ week. Maybe 150mg/ week at most.

I agree with G man, your dose is way too high. I would consider lowering it to 100 mg a week or 50 mg twice a week and then do labs after 6 weeks.

Ya I agree. Probably around 100-125mg/ week is what I would try personally. You can always increase your dosage if that ends up not being enough.

And ya good point, I would absolutely recommend going to twice a week injections as well. With a SHGB of 34, twice a week injections is probably ideal.

Hi Iron&Blood_RN welcome, cool name by the way, is there a story to your handle.
Are you getting any high E2 symptoms? leaking water out of your nipples, sore nipple so sore you can't wear a Tee shirt? Feeling extra bitch around the house or work? Short tempered, water weight gains, ED, loss of libido? Choking up over silly things that should no upset you that much.
If none of that is happening your are golden just drop that dose asap.
I started out with an SHGB of 34 and I could not take 150mg/wk without an AI but 120 is just about perfect. Everybody is different but having matching SHGB puts us closer what we can take with an AI. I also love 3 times a week for higher T trough and lower T peak.

From Kaiser Test 479ng/dl (240-871) was previously 237 (then I lost weight), free 9.8 (7.0-36.7), shbg 34 (11-78),LH was 3.4 and FSH was 5.5. So 6 weeks later i got labs done per discounted labs. MY current labs are from labcorp test >1500 range 264-916 and free 34.6 (6.8-21.5)and estradiol sensitive 125.1 (8-35).
1) TSH 1.30 uIU/mL 0.35 - 4.00 uIU/mL. . I’m 46 y/o. 5’9" 243 pounds. Dexascan 30%bf. I’m on the Ketogenic diet. Good energy levels now, Libido decent, erections are hit and miss. They are better now. Previously only one or two a week. More now but duration of erection can be an issue without constant stimulation. Currently now doing body weight exercises. I take the injection in one large dose. I take supplements, of chelated magnesium, vitamin d3, alphalopoic acid, coq10, zinc, boron, Ashwagandha, PhosphatidylSerine, NAC.
2)No other symptoms of high E2. I think I will just decrease dose. Should I wait two weeks till next dose since Im so high or dose myself on my regular schedule but at a much lower dose of 50mh BIW.
3)I was just concerned for such a high E2, I read it should be around 22. I'm not taking HCG at this time, but feel I should, I have noticed my testicles getting smaller.

There is no reason not to drop to your new T dose and stay on your current injection schedule.
DHEA and HCG will raise E2 so I would stay away from them for now.
Your 30% body fat is not helping you with E2 body fat holds amarataze enzyme so the more you have the more E2 you make.

Get a few good books and educate yourself now:
1. Get Nelsons book "Testosterone: A Man's Guide".
2. Get Lee Myer's book "Natural Versus Testosterone Therapy".
3. Get “Testosterone for life - Dr. Abraham Morgentaller “.
4. Get “The Definitive Testosterone Replacement Therapy MANual: How to OptimizeYour Testosterone For Lifelong Health And Happiness” by Jay Campbell.
These books will give you a much better understanding of TRT....
