Carl Lenore stressed the fact that ginger extract is the way to go and use one with at least 5% gingerols. I looked around Amazon and found NuSci Ginger Root Extract 250g (8.8 oz) Powder Standardized 5% Gingerols for $29.44 shipped.
Also got a capsule filler "OO" from Badmonkey Botanicals for $21.00 shipped. I also ordered some "00" caps from Amazon.
Will soon be capping some ginger
