Guys, i have been doing well on T for over 12 weeks. Libido is very good ect...
i have been using 45 mgs every tues and friday. This past tuesday i decided to do a smaller amount( roughly 35 mgs maybe a tad less). Wednesday i felt great, thursday i felt ok, but yesterday i felt horrible.
weak, depressed, anxious, and insecure. I felt ugly and just weird. In fact, i didnt even want to be around anyone.
I did another shot yesterday and did my regular 45mgs and i feel just fine today.
could that depressed feeling be the result of my T levels dropping too low when my T levels bottom out just before my shot with that lowered dose.?
that was an effed up feeling. As i said, i felt ugly, weak, anxious. Wierd. Is that what you guys refer to when you talk about T levels crashing? I only lowered the dose about 10mgs but then again my dosage is kind of low already.
any opinions.?

That's a very low starting dose and you even lowered it further. I wouldn't think it would benefit you. Did you run Labs at your starting dose.

Hi Vince
45 mgs 2x per week might seem a tad low but its a great dose for me. Good libido, good energy, mental clarity, overall feeling of well being. Some guys dont need a lot of testosterone to function well. I do great in the mid 500-650 range.
i see many guys post blood results of 900 but ther free T is only mid range. Both my free t and total seem to correlate directly. I used to do 100 mgs once per week.
the day after my injection, my T levels would be over 1000. The 7th day, just before my next shot, my levels would be 600. Thats great but my DHT levels were way over the normal range ( 151 day after shot and 94 day of next). Average range for dht is 35-85.
2x per week at smaller dosage will reduce those dht spikes which i beleive are responsible for most side effects.
I will have my blood results monday and post them.
do you think that depression yesterday was due to my T levels crashing too low?
example, im not depressed if my T levels bottom at 450 but if the further they fall below that, depression will occur?

Yes I believe your T levels were too low, you'll know more after labs. I would have stayed at the low dose and had labs, before increasing dose.

The 45mgs every tues and friday was the higher dose i started with. Thats the dose i had blood drawn from.
the lower dose was a one time injection this past week. The lower dose is when i started feelin bad.

It will be interesting to see your labs, hopefully you'll start feeling good again.

My dose is 30 mg twice a week and i feel great. Total T stays mid 500's. Hct is 51-52 and i feel great in all areas. So whatever dose works for you is what works for you.

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
