Results: 3 weeks on HCG

Hi all,

I had rock bottom T levels (19 ng/dl). Nothing secreting the pituitary and was never on TRT before (I did have an ignorant doctor that put me on Androgel for only 6 months ~2 years ago to try and raise my T level but I took it upon myself to stop after 6 months ~2 years ago).

Current doctor said I have type 2 hypogomadism and put me on HCG (Pregnyl)... 500ius 3x a week. I'm only taking HCG, nothing else.

Here was what everything was before:


T-level: 19 ng/dl (YIKES I know...)

TSH: 3.810
Free T4: 1.43

I think that as a percentage its ok, closer to 3% or more is what we see for guys on injections, especially if they have an SHBG of <18. Your SHBG is 27 so no surprises there with your Free T. Im not sure that you can manipulate Free T with just HCG mono.
 
Shepard at Age 21 your Doctor is attempting a restart correct? To try and sort of kick start your system back into functioning! Looks to be working but 3 weeks is an early test point, your HCG only protocol will take time to determine if you are able to do this.

Tom, I don't think he's attempting a restart. Think he believes that I'll be on this for a long time and possibly switch to regular testosterone when having children is no longer a concern.
