Reading Testosterone Injection Dosage

Hi Everyone,

I recently started testosterone replacement therapy and had a quick question on the dosage. I was prescribed T Cyp 200 mg/ml 0.35ml two times a week along with 500 IU of HCG twice per week.

Could someone explain to me the 200 mg- is this the strength of the testosterone. Also, I thought the doctor mentioned that .35ml was equal to 70 mg. Would like make my total dosage per week at 140 mg since I am injecting twice per week. Any help explaining the dosage calculations would be greatly appreciated.

I would use a 27g 1/2 inch syringe. That was my original syringe I used for everything, it is also virtually painless and very easy to inject with.

I would recommend the Easy Touch brand.

You are correct, it was a little confusing the first time I read the vial. Basically it means the amount of testosterone in one ml of oil.

200 mg/ml means 1 ml is 200 mg.

200mg x .35 = 70 mg.

Then the insulin syringes people like to recommend aren't labeled in ml, they are labeled in units. One typical size insulin syringe has a capacity of 100 units, which is 1 ml. Since you want to inject -.35 ml, you need to fill the syringe to 35 units. For HCG at 500 IU you need to inject 0.5 ml, or 50 units on an insulin syringe.

I used to use a 1.5 inch 23 gauge 5 ml syringe, it would be difficult to inject only 0.35 ml since it barely fills the syringe, but I was injecting 4 ml of Nebido.

Well if this is true then I was actually injecting a totally different dose than I thought I was in my first protocol. I was prescribed .75ml's per week which I was assuming was 175mg of testosterone cypionate (strength was 200ml/1L) using a 5 liter syringe. If your math is right then I was injecting 150mg weekly rather than the 175 mg. Are you sure this is right?

I'm now injecting .25ml 2x per week which should be 50mg 2x per week using a 1L syringe. That math does come out right. Wow, I better be careful if I go down in dosage. My math was wrong.

I was sure my math was right when I posted it, but would feel better if others confirmed it. But since no one jumped in to correct it ....

BTW, you mixed up your nomenclature in the second paragraph. Maybe a whale needs a 1 LITER syringe, you likely meant 1 ml.
