Pharmacy Records

I know this:
Whether you go to a cvs, a walgreens, costco, etc, all prescriptions will show up on the computer at any pharmacy you go to.

Here is my question:
Do our meds that we get from compounding pharmacies (empower, hallandale, etc) show up in the main stream pharmacy computers?

There is only one database regarding Prescriptions, and that'd be the database in your state.

It appears that mail order pharmacies are required to report to the patient's state, except for 4 states that have PDMPs.

I work in a docs office.
I checked and as far as my records, they said they can see the script, doctor ordered under and the pharmacy (whether it's United, Empower, etc...).

Wow. So it even extends past pharmacies to Dr. Offices.

Good to know, thanks!

Medical providers have access to it so that a Doctor will know not to prescribe a patient a drug he is already prescribed. I had one doc say "you're taking the cephaxalin?" that I just had filled by another doctor. So it applies to non controls as well as controls.

What happened to Hipaa?

HIPAA allows for healthcare providers to share information to treat the patient. So doctors and pharmacists can share information without your consent to treat you. For example verifying a prescription or ensuring that a patient isn't prescribed controlled substances from multiple providers.
