Yes especially with a long or large syringe, I like to use the easy touch 27 ga 1/2" syringes. I very rarely do I get any pain.

Yes I think we all get some kind of post injection site reaction from time to time. I sometimes get a sore knot at injection sites but it's fairly rare for me. Injection technique takes some practice.

Just inject on shoulders

Basta iniettare sulle spalle

27 gauge 1/2 inch needle

Hi Nelson,

I use this needle

(23G LUER 6% x 1 1/4") (0,6 x32mm)

Is ok for quad ?

Update My situation at today, summary:

I inject my first injection saturday evening (around 18:00 Pm) 200 mg of cypionate. No pain at this time.

Also sunday no problem.

Monday morning i woke up with pain similar at blow in the muscle. Difficulty bending (squat movement 90°) and load my weight on the foot.

At today (30/03/2016) the situation is same. Is the third day. Normale or not ?

Hot water on the pain help me ? or ice ?

Precise that my first injection intramuscolar in my life. 25 years old.

Possible i damage nerves or ligaments ?

Thank you all and sorry for my english.

For the past year or so I've been pinning my quad with a 25g 1" pin. Every now and then I did encounter some pain for a few days after the injection. Since I've read other posts on this topic, I've switched to a 27g 1/2" and I have found it to be much more tolerable. Also, today I tried pinning on my shoulder, as Nelson suggested, and I actually found that to be very painless for me.

I think I will keep pinning my shoulder with a 27g 1/2" pin from now on. Great advice, Nelson!

Yes, it's perfect...if you're a whale.

Seriously, that long and thick of a needle is overkill, and just not necessary. Sounds like you're causing yourself unwanted and unneeded pain. Try an insulin pin (I use a 1/2"/29ga), and you won't even feel it.

200mg of Test Cypionate is a pretty big dose to inject all at once. Are you doing this once a week? If so, you should consider splitting that dose in half and injecting 100mg every 3.5 days instead. More stable Test levels, and less aromatization.

Yes, every 10 days. Better 100mg every 5 days ?

29 is diameter and 1/2" is lenght ? correct ?

Every 10 days is a very outdated protocol. I would inject 100mg every 3.5 days (example: Monday morning/Thursday evening). A twice a week injection protocol is pretty much standard nowadays.

Yes, 1/2" is the length, and 29 gauge is the diameter. Just remember to be patient when loading the syringe with testosterone. It takes me about 75 to 90 seconds to load the syringe with .35mLs (my dose). Also, when injecting...relax your quad muscle, and inject very slowly.

Good luck to you.

I can do something about the pain? ice or hot water ?

I know what has helped me in the past is a heating pad, some pain medication, and a vibrating massager. I would switch between the massager and the heating pad while laying and watching TV. After the first injection, I got used to the pain, but I don't get it all the time.

Also, I noticed that the times I had the most pain was when I would inject the full 200mgs/1ml of TCyp and when I didn't relax my quad when injecting. I know it's tough to relax because you're so nervous from injecting yourself, but I usually extend my leg all the way out and just relax it. You'll get used to the injections. To be honest, this might seem a bit odd to some, but I actually look forward to my next injection. I know how good it makes me feel the next few days and with the smaller needle now, I actually look forward to it more.

I recently changed my protocol to what Jackie Treehorn suggested, 100mg every 3.5 days (Monday AM/Thursday PM)....thanks Jackie. Since I did that, I don't notice much pain. I also switched to a smaller needle and that has also helped (27g 1/2"). Some recommend a 28g or a 29g. For me the 27g is just fine. Finally, I just switched to my shoulder yesterday, as Nelson suggested, and I have not felt any pain.

So, for the pain you're feeling now, I would say take some pain medication, use a vibrating massager, and a heating pad. That's what helped me. It went away after about 3 days. And for future injections, I would suggest switching to a smaller needle and less/more frequent doses, as suggested by many. Although it means more injections per week, it actually doesn't hurt anymore. I hope that helps.

After working on my flexibility I finally moved to the hip... So much better if you can do the hip/upper butt....

Thanks,

I will try next injection on my shoulder with 27G 1/2" (1/2 is 30mm ? ).

For the quad (if it happens in the future to remake) use needle 23G / 25mm lenght ? for my first i use 32mm lenght 23G.

I suggest never using a 23g needle. It is just not needed, and just makes a bigger whole and wound which can lead to soreness, etc. I suggest 25g as the biggest - and that can work well for quads and butt. However, many guys here use 27g or 29g which are much smaller and I will be trying that myself.

As for length - you mentioned 25mm - that's a 1-inch long needle, which can certainly work, but is not necessary in quads. Most guys are doing "shallow IM" injections with either 1/2 inch (12-13mm) or 5/8 inch (16mm) long needles. Most men's quads do not have a lot of fat on them, so they don't have to use real long needles.

I have used 32mm for my first injection (o my god :D) is twice.

Sure that 16mm is enough for my quad ? i have around 16-17 Bf in legs. is little much for a man.
