Options for retaining testicular function while on trt

I have been on Clomid for about 2 years now, I am not interested in fertility, I just like my balls, although, they are about half the size now. I was not on it for the first 3 months I was on TRT and they started to shrink, rather painfully - that stopped when I went on Clomid, my provider does not have a HCG option, although I have thought of looking elsewhere.
I haven’t received my order yet but it has shipped. if everything is good with it, the source shared earlier in the thread is great. About $20 a vial, which should last 2-3 months with standard dosages.

No, for those on TRT, hCG is the only option for testicular atrophy. Clomid together with TRT is not going to do anything for testicular atrophy.
This is incorrect information. Clomid in a man will bind to estrogen receptors, fooling the pituitary into thinking that T is low. Taking clomid will result in an increase in FSH, which is instrumental in stimulating the production of sperm. It will also cause an ancillary increase in LH which consequently raises T. Taking HCG has a similar effect except the primary increase is in LH with an ancillary increase in FSH. LH primarily increases T production, with a small increase in sperm production.

Both Clomid and HCG will decrease testicular atrophy in that both stimulate the testicles to increase their two primary activities; making sperm and making T. Taken together they provide a more real-life like response with both an increase in T and an increase in sperm production.

Clomid will not work if you’re on injections, creams and oral TRT due to the strong suppressive affect of exogenous testosterone. Using something like Natesto, which doesn’t have a strong suppressive effect and using together with clomid is a different story.

This has already been discussed and a consensus reached.

Do you have a link to this discussion thread? I’d like to read it. My experience with clomid while on exogenous test is quite the opposite.

I discuss the reasoning here, for example. Anecdotally, @Dr Justin Saya MD has mentioned having various patients come to him on TRT plus Clomid. He said all had low levels of the gonadotropins. This is not to say that occasional exceptions don't exist. It's plausible that there is some variability in the suppressiveness of androgens at the hypothalamus. However, I suspect that most reports of guys feeling better or worse on combination protocols are not a result of HPTA activation. Instead they may be due to the SERM's influence on estrogen receptors outside of the HPTA.

Any update? how did it work?
Got the shipment. Been using 500iu 3x weekly. No huge changes yet but the slight testicle pain is mostly gone, which is good.

I actually just made a post about testing this product. I am worried it is not as strong as it says or maybe I just don’t take that well to it. From my research you should pretty much have normal balls after 2 weeks, and I am not back to normal. Considering a larger dose for a week or two as a jump start but not finding much info on that.

Adding hCG + FSH when using exogenous T would take the cake when it comes to maintaining fertility and preventing/minimizing testicular atrophy.

Main issue would be cost especially when it comes to FSH.

As Vince stated there are reliable sources for obtaining hCG that are much cheaper.

Do you know of a source for fsh similar to reliablerx?

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
