Hey guys,
I just joined excelmale yesterday and have already learned a lot just from all the great info/resources h ere. Thought I'd give a little background on myself and share with you my journey.
3 years ago I started feeling all the classic symptoms of Low T (ED, depression, mental fog, anxiety, decreased muscle mass, insomnia, lack of focus, lack of confidence). My primary care decided to check my testosterone and found it to be low (about 330 ng/dl) if I remember correctly. He gave me a tshot and I almost instantly felt better. Important to mention, I was getting married in a few months and my wife to be was pregnant (we didn't know yet though). so, a lot was going on. I tried a few different types of T therapies- pellets, and then creams. Neither one gave me the results I was looking for, so I got the blessing to do shots of T at home. That worked like a charm, although I experienced significant testicular atrophe. Which, it didn't really bother me because the good outweighed the bad heavily. So, I chugged along for a couple years on T, with everything seeming fine until my wife and I wanted to try for another child. We tried several times with no success. So, I got a semen analysis done and it was deplorable- I think the count/ml was around 300K. I got off the T immediately and started HCG monotherapy. HCG monotherapy has helped with my fertility substantially and I'm pretty much back to the normal range. However, I feel pretty lousy constantly- Total T is at 290 ng/dl. So, I've been looking into Lipschults protocol, and sounds very promising, but I'm still trying to convince my wife. Also, we've been seeing a fertility specialist and I haven't been on the same page with this guy. He wants me to go on clomid, which I tried at one point and didn't really care for. At least he's forward thinking enough to put me on HCG.
I'm a pretty active person- surf several days a week, do cross fit 3 days a week, and walk my dog every day, and chase around a 2 year old. I eat clean- lots of veggies/fruit, nuts. Try to eat organic, not much red meat. I'm in sales, so having confidence and clear head is important, so being Low T affects my performance at work significantly. The fertility specialist I'm seeing, sees nothing wrong with a total T of 290 (in normal range since over 240 or something silly like that). So, I've been very vocal with him about how crappy I feel all the time.
I think if I could convince my wife that if I go on Lipschults protocol, I'll be much better off and it won't affect halt my fertility again and screw up the progress we've made in last few months on HCG.
Sorry to bombard you all with the intro, but wanted to introduce myself and give you some background info. Any tips on convincing wife in this situation? I've sent her the case studies I've found on here, but she still doesn't seem convinced.
Thanks,
Ryan
