Hello Everyone!
I have finally decided to register on the forum and ready to learn as much as I can! I look forward to hearing from the members and hope I can also contribute as I learn. I have started TRT about 4 wks ago and would like to let you know what I have been going through and hopefully get some comments and advice as needed.
About 2 yrs ago I walked into a weight loss clinic and complained that I was gaining weight over the years and have been feeling tired and hopeless. The doc did a blood test and we found that I had low T, in the 100's! I inquired about treatment but could not afford the services of that clinic so I decided to learn as much as I could about my condition and do that best I could to get better. I came across this forum about a year ago and started reading like crazy and learned a lot! I was confident enough to meet with other anti aging doctors and an urologist to see what treatment we could get started on but it seemed that they were all clueless. I finally came across a doc in May that seemed to follow the same protocols and shared the same ideas as many of the members here. I decided to work with this doc and now hoping I am on my way to being healthy again. I would like to hear from you all regarding my current protocol and my labs and look forward to any comments that will be useful.
I am 33 yrs old, 5'7, 260 lbs. I know I should have gotten the SHBG and E2 sensitive tests done but the doc convinced me we didn't need it and we agreed it will be done in the follow up labs that I will get done in 2 wks. I am currently on TestCyp 100mg, HCG 1000 u/mg .4mg, Anastrozole .5 mg, and B-12 1ml each twice a week. I did not want to use the Anastrozole until after the follow up labs but was having E2 symptoms and decided to use it. I am hoping with the weight loss I may be able to stop. I am weight training 4x per week since starting TRT.
I am still learning about TSH, T3 and T4. I would like some critique on my labs in regards to this just to make sure additional testing or supplements are not necessary. I will have my follow up labs done in 2 wks and will post for further discussion.
I look forward to hearing from everyone and hopefully I can also contribute to others while I am on my way to getting healthier and feeling better again!
