New labs and surprised

I´m off HCG for a month by now and so far so good. I don´t notice very much really.
My protocol testo 115 mg/2 week and DHEA 25mg every other day nothing els.

My lastest lab that was taken before my morning injection.

TT 690
FT 33,7 pg/mL
SHBG 41,64 nmol/L
E2 23,3 pg/mL

Taking into account that my dosage of testo isn´t a lot makes me surprised that my FT and SHBG are both at the higher level and at the same time. Any input?

Direct Free T is not an accurate test.

How do you get a dose of 115mg split over 2 doses per week?

Fifty Direct FT test is what most folks present here when showing posting their labs. My FT keeps more or less the level during the year.

115mg is an average because I draw from a 1ml syring 21 to 22 not exactly the same everytime is more one time 21 and the next 22. But for me I don´t care about this what is interesting is that I keep a rather hight level of FT in spite of a not so hight TT level. And now with a higher SHBG. Normally isn´t one or another.

Unfortunately your FT levels are far from being high and if anything seeing as you and many continue to use the piss poor direct immunoassay or tracer analog which have been shown to be inaccurate and are no longer recommended most have no idea where their FT levels truly sit.

The only way to truly know is from using the most accurate testing methods such as the gold standard Equilibrium Dialysis (which all other FT testing methods are compared to) or Ultrafiltration.....or better yet using the TruT Free Testosterone Calculator by FPT .....which has been show to be on par with results obtained by the gold standard Equilibrium Dialysis.

Using the TruT free testosterone calculator.....taking your TT 690 ng/dL, SHBG 41.64 nmol/L (by no means high) and Albumin 4.3 g/dL (mean) than your FT is 22.77 ng/dL (just below MID-RANGE as 23.5 ng/dL would be the mean of the reference range 16-31 ng/dL).....so much for having high FT!

If you feel good overall on such protocol with a sub-par FT of 22.77 ng/dL.....so be it.....but you definitely have room to increase your T dose slightly in order to increase your FT levels if need be!

Some do much better having FT levels near the top end of the reference range!

Most men do well having FT levels in the 25-30 ng/dL range and others may do better in the 30-50 ng/dL range.....mind you it comes down to the individual as to what levels one needs in order to experience relief/improvement of low-t symptoms while at the same time minimizing/preventing any potential negative side effects.

Not everyone can tolerate running really high FT levels.....let alone highly doubtful one would need to have levels well over the top of the reference range (50+ ng/dL) in order to benefit from testosterone replacement therapy.

If you persist to believe that your FT levels are high because your labs are showing such (using an inaccurate FT testing method) than more power to you.....but if it were me I would not settle for the results provided from a piss poor testing method when managing my trt protocol!

If you're feeling good on this don't start chasing numbers.... That's my advice.
