Apparently Nelson has been right all along, stay away from anastrozole. it is now considered optimal having higher levels, this changes everything. Here is a lecture given by Dr Neal Rouser regarding the benefits of TRT and estradiol. Well worth the 50 minutes.

Yeah, I went to a conference and watched him speak 2 years ago.

I agree with him on this one, of course. I do not agree with his belief that you do not have to manage high hematocrit. I thought that was a little nuts knowing the data we have from EPO therapy in anemic patients.

Nelson, so having E2 in 20-30 range is not right? I remember you mentioning that you have it in the 45 range. What's your take on it?

What's being discussed with Estrogen is the theory or position that the ration of Estrogen to Testosterone (T divided by E2), rather than E2 being a specific range. Estrogen in this paradigm isn't managed at all unless it's posing a negative symptom, like night sweats, nipple issues, libido, erections, and so on. Most people under this protocol take no or very little anastrozole.

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
