Hi,

I am a 28 year old male. I am slim and eat a clean diet, veg/fruit/fish minimal dairy. I was in relatively good shape aerobically but since April I have barely been able to run. Since then I have fallen into quite a deep depression, I have a whole host of neurological issues along with this, very bad memory and concentration. I am undergoing a few tests with various people (neurologist etc). I got my testosterone tested in January it was at 10 nmol, then again in April where it was at 8nmol, then again in May 4.4 nmol. I want to get to the bottom of why this is happening before jumping into any therapy. I got a full male hormone check done privately.

D.H.E.A. SULPHATE 9.150 umol/L 0.44 - 13.40
FOLLICLE STIM. HORMONE *1.32 IU/L 1.50 - 12.40
LUTEINISING HORMONE *1.52 IU/L 1.70 - 8.60
TESTOSTERONE 10.1 nmol/L 7.60 - 31.40
FREE-TESTOSTERONE(CALCULATED)*0.181 nmol/L 0.30 - 1.00
SEX HORMONE BINDING GLOB 36.3 nmol/L 16.00 - 55.00
FREE ANDROGEN INDEX 27.82 Ratio 24.00 - 104.00
17-BETA OESTRADIOL <18.4 pmol/L 0.00 - 191.99

At this stage all I know is my testosterone has averaged between low and very low (especially for someone my age). But I basically know nothing else about the subject and was hoping for some about the intricacies of my results from someone with a bit more knowledge.

Thanks very much

Because of you age 28, you may be interested in trying a restart with low dose Clomid. It seems that younger men have a better chance with Clomid then older men.

Beyond Testosterone Book by Nelson Vergel
I was on Lexapro for 6 weeks but came off because it made me feel awful. I wasn't feeling great before that but it tipped me over the edge. I'm VERY reluctant to try anything else like that due to it's effects.

These SSRIs only make things worse, there was a guy who before going on Lexapro had a total T in the 900's, after 6 months on Lexapro he was in the 300 ranges.

Decades on medications is why I'm on TRT in the first place.
