Ok, so being sure I do not leave any stones uncovered in my diagnosis I had an MRI last week. I was kind of in panic mode after the test. Until the test most of my thoughts where just that I was doing it to cover the bases, but after the test I was a little freaked out with the concern that a tumor could be the cause of my low t. Well, I got the results online this morning and everything looks clear. Coincidentally last week before the test I was having lunch with one of my uncles. He's at the age where one of the main topics is his health. And, usually tmi. He mentioned something that I never knew. He was diagnosed with low t over thirty years ago. He has empty sella. They did not rx him test, but instead used a drug I had never heard of. He said it did work to lower his lactose, and raise his testosterone, but it made him feel lousy otherwise, so he stopped taking it. After talking to him I had myself convinced that I too had empty sella.
I have a bone scan scheduled next, but I'm not 100% convinced I want to have the bone scan done.
Any thoughts?
Thank you
