Medical articles linking TRT to death

Riptide

Hi everyone,
I know that this post was from a few years ago and not a "medical study" in itself, I've just been barraged recently on ******** with advertisements for law firms wanting to sue doctors for prescribing testosterone since it leads to death and heart attacks/DVT. Now, obviously I'm fine right now and have no interest in lawsuits personally--but when you read the comments you see HUNDREDS of people on fb with real lives, real profiles , etc, who all know someone hospitalized from testosterone.

FDA warns about blood clot risk with testosterone products - Harvard Health Blog

This is a harvard article--and even in the comments you read about people dying or hospitalized in 30s -50s.

Now, I realize we would say this is unfounded fear mongering. i'm just wondering, where do these people, figures, ideas come from? And what's t he mechanism of death/damage here? Can this be prevented by monitoring the HCT as we do/responsible blood work? Part of me doesn't buy it, I know hard core steroid users on steroids longer than 3 years that aren't just dropping dead--hard to imagine 150mg a week of test doing this by itself. But on the other hand, I don't think all of these people are in a grand conspiracy to neuter us powerful optimized men, so what gives? Is this gonna kill me or not (joking, mostly) ?

Why is the assumption that it's 100% the fault of testosterone?
How was it being administered?
What other health problems/medications was the person taking?
What type of health-related lifestyle was that person leading?
Testosterone is the easiest way to scape goat.
Blame that and no one else will bother to take a look anywhere else.....

People not on TRT drop dead for no apparent reason.

People on TRT drop dead for no apparent reason.

In essence, whether you're on TRT or not you could drop dead for no apparent reason.

Hmm that's a good point and DVT, stroke, heart attack can happen to anyone for sure. I just worry I guess--I'm still quite young, and to be honest I don't know many people in their 60s having heart attacks naturally when they are very physically fit--I'm sure it happens, but I haven't seen it reported a lot anecdotally, whereas since I have started to look I've found hundreds of anecdotal reports of people in their 50s and 60s suffering these problems with high levels of fitness and using exogenous testosterone. Is there some motivation for these people to lie or exaggerate? I'm just having a hard time seeing the bias here--what's the motivation for drs /patients to give such terrible reports of death/health problems with this ? It seems like in the USA there would be more motivation for the opposite--for drs and big pharma to be pushing this stuff like crazy for profit.

Do you think part of this could B.S. created by big pharma since TRT isn't bringing in the big bucks like the antidepressant/erectile dysfunction/adhd industries? BTW that's why I started TRT...my other option being offered was an SSRI, Adderall, and Viagra--which seemed more risky to me! I suppose if I could have just vacationed in southern Italy with the sun, no work, and beautiful women that might have worked too , but alas, I needed some help given my modern toxic lifestyle!
