Hi everyone,
I know that this post was from a few years ago and not a "medical study" in itself, I've just been barraged recently on ******** with advertisements for law firms wanting to sue doctors for prescribing testosterone since it leads to death and heart attacks/DVT. Now, obviously I'm fine right now and have no interest in lawsuits personally--but when you read the comments you see HUNDREDS of people on fb with real lives, real profiles , etc, who all know someone hospitalized from testosterone.
FDA warns about blood clot risk with testosterone products - Harvard Health Blog
This is a harvard article--and even in the comments you read about people dying or hospitalized in 30s -50s.
Now, I realize we would say this is unfounded fear mongering. i'm just wondering, where do these people, figures, ideas come from? And what's t he mechanism of death/damage here? Can this be prevented by monitoring the HCT as we do/responsible blood work? Part of me doesn't buy it, I know hard core steroid users on steroids longer than 3 years that aren't just dropping dead--hard to imagine 150mg a week of test doing this by itself. But on the other hand, I don't think all of these people are in a grand conspiracy to neuter us powerful optimized men, so what gives? Is this gonna kill me or not (joking, mostly) ?
