Low Testosterone issues?

Hello. From a few years I feel like shit. I had a very stressful job at that time and since then everything in my body got messed up. In sum - a lot of the time now I feel with low energy, tired, agitated, nervous and stressed without outside stimulus and some time I have trouble thinking - the so called brain fog. And this is bad for me cause I'm a programmer.

Recently I run a series of blood tests and my free testosterone is slightly above the bottle limit.(9.5, where limits are 8.5-40). The morning cortisol is very high but it drops later. One endocrinologist I've been to suspects I have a small insulin resistance. I'm bit overweight - 103kg and 1.85m. Although I have some muscle, cause I've been training a bit before all the shit few years ago, I need to get in shape. Since beginning of march I've started working out again and have some results, but very small so far. I raised a lot the physical activity and put some order in my diet, but Its very hard for me to loose weight.

Also I've started adding weigh isolate to my diet and here is one strange thing - I feel very bad after drinking protein. All of the bad symptoms I mentioned before excel a lot. I found a way to drink one dose per day - by taking enzymes, but if I take two dozes with double enzymes again feel like shit. And Id like to increase my protein isolate intake, because it is little calories and satisfies my hunger, also I have more power in the gym after drinking it(not imagining this shit).

Do you think all of this can be connected to the low testosterone? I would consider all means to fix this as long as it is healthy and safe.

P.S. The results

If the whey isolate is making you feel bad, I suggest stop drinking it. Some don't do well with it. You would try different plant proteins or Hydrolyzed beef isolate. Whey protein bothers my gut bad, but I don't do well with dairy in general. Collagen protein works well for me also. Bad reactions to diet can effect just about everything in a person. Try eliminating foods that bother you and keep working on diet and exercise for a while, then check labs again. It takes time and patience is a bitch, but it is worth it to dial in lifestyle first before advancing with TRT. Just my opinion, but it seems like you a heading in the right direction, keep working at it and post labs when you can. Good luck and welcome to the forum!

Forgot to mention - I've also tried vegan blend protein, a mixture of few plants, but I do not feel better from it, also tried it with and without enzymes. Now my brother ordered sample of some hydrolized protein, so I'll try it as well.

Tomorrow I'll retest myself, especially the free T to see if it was a moment drop, but I doubt it.

Still I'm not willing to jump on TRT, just considering options.

Are there some steroids or other medications that can be safe if taken carefully, not harm my health and just make my organism produce slightly more T?

Make sure you get a complete testosterone panel with testosterone serum, Free T, DHEA -Sulfate, Estradiol Sensitive, SHBG and DHT. I would also get a complete thyroid panel with TSH, FT4, FT3, reverse T3 and antibodies.

With your cortisol above range you possibly have your adrenal rhythm out of wack which is the the beginning of adrenal fatigue. Your symptoms also match when you mention stress. I would suggest a 4 x saliva test if that's possible for you so you know how your adrenals are performing thruout the day.

This test is ready, I can upload it tonight. The salivata shows my cortisol drops significantly after morning. The cortisol from the 24 hours urine is also in the middle of the accepted range. The cortisol readings looks just fine, only in morning it is slightly high.

See if you can upload the saliva results. Serum and Urine cortisol labs are not as accurate. How about FT3, RT3, both antibodies for thyroid and ferritin and SHBG labs. Can you get those

Good cortisol levels are needed to work with T3 getting to the cells. It's not a sometimes yes or sometimes no, it's just science, T3 will pool when cortisol gets too low.

All of the thyroid hormones were within range, the SHBG was in the middle also. Only the LH was little low.

Thyroid can be in range and not work. This is the problem with thyroid labs. It's not as straight forward as we think. My thyroid was on range too but I had a problem and it got corrected. Ferritin is important. It's good that SHBG was mid range

Just because your thyroid levels were "within range" does not mean it is performing properly. Did you actually test Reverse T3 and the ATA and TPA antibodies?

This is what I've tested about the thyroids:

It looks like you only had the TSH and Free T4 tested verse a full thyroid panel. Other important thyroid test are for Free T3 (FT3), Reverse T3, and the thyroid antibodies (ATA and TPO). It also looks like the wrong Estradiol test was performed. The proper test is the Estradiol Sensitive test with the LC/MS/MS assay but that may not be available in your country like it is in the US. The test you had run for estradiol is designed for women and not accurate for men.

Unfortunately we do not have all of them, for example the estradiol. This is the full list of tests I can run, this is the best lab in the capital:

Free T3 is more potent than Free T4, so if Free T3 is low you will not feel well. If Reverse T3 is high it will negate good Free T3 levels, thyroid is too complex for most doctors to grasp.
