Low T, High Prolactin - Thoughts?

50 Y/O with long history of Low T that started in early 30s - did TRT for 4 years but stopped 2 years ago after not noticing any physical benefit. Since last year, worsening (and now flatlined) libido and ED issues along with off and on depression. Was on Welbutrin for a year and weaned off this spring. Just got some labs done on my own and facing a 6 month+ wait to see an Endo:

Prolactin is elevated but, from reading, not tumor-level elevated (?). That said, I have a feeling high prolactin has been the cause of my severely reduced libido, etc. Wondering if cabergoline will make me feel better but obviously can't self-prescribe. Doubt my PCP will prescribe without Endo.

Any suggestions on other tests to run? CBC, PSA, Lipids normal. BTW, my total T before starting TRT (this is 8 years ago) was 211. I don't have any other prolactin levels since I'm the only one who has ordered it. Appreciate any advice from anyone who has had a similar path....

With high prolactin and low libido, your PCP should prescribe prolactin. Show them a medical study about it - that will give them more confidence that it is OK to prescribe it in such cases.
