Low SHBG high FT

Very low SHBG and high FT! I had new bw dome last week and have an appointment with my doctor on Tuesday. I’ve been on 100mg e5d of testosterone cypionate. I’ve made progress physically but still not feeling the best.

TT 967 Ng/dL
FT 277 pg/ml
SHBG 9 nmol/L
Estradiol 51 pg/mL

BW was 2 weeks after taking 0.5 mg of arimadex.

Libido and erection strength has been inconsistent.

Due to low SHBG I should probably go to ed or eod injections. Surprisingly I have added muscle and strength. Would hate to lose that but want to feel better overall.

What’s your thoughts?

Low SHBG below 10 nmol/L and injecting once weekly, sure I can understand what's causing the inconsistency. My SHBG isn't a low as yours (18) but when I was injecting once weekly I felt anxious and low after 4-5 days, it wasn't until I started injecting twice weekly that I felt consistency for the first time and 3 months later is when went to zip up my pants and couldn't do to a spontaneous erection that popped into existence. You need to be on EOD or ED injections with SHBG that low.

You might be able to get the E2 levels down so take it easy on the AI, your peaks will be smaller and steadier. I couldn't handle an EOD protocol, it's like I became estrogen dominate and never reached a balance. My outcome isn't a common one.

You're most definitely going to feel better once you find your sweet spot!

How long you been on TRT?

Reason I ask is because it can take low SHBG guys a long time to get dialed in and fully adjusted to TRT, possibly more than a year.

Your levels are too high, you can't hold on to much of the testosterone you're injecting. You need to shoot for midranges otherwise your free hormones will overwhelm you and kill your libido and erections. You would do well taking calcium d glucarate and DIM to rid some of the excess estrogen, lots of guys find increased libido when taking it twice per day. 100-200 DIM 2x day and 250-500mg calcium d glucarate 2x per day.

Your free estrogen must be insane, even at an estrogen of 25 you're expected to have a ton of excess free estrogen! Low SHBG guys can tolerate almost no estrogen. I wouldn't expect you to make much of any progress on a weekly injection protocol with SHBG that low. Most guys with 25 SHBG wouldn't feel right on a weekly protocol.

When was your blood dorawn in relation to your injection and your next injection. For an SHBG of 9 you have shockingly high levels @ 100mg E5D which tells me that you had blood drawn on something other than the 5th day just prior to your shot, which is the only way this is done. There's no way you can carry those numbers on the 5th day with that SHBG.

I love your input there I think you're spot on but there's no way that he can be carrying those numbers on a 100mg E5D with SHBG @ 9.

My blood was drawn on the 5th day, that morning. I do my shots at night.

Sorry for the ignorant question, but why is ther no way to carry those numbers on a SHBG of 9? I’ve been on a roller coaster since starting trt. Sometimes I feel great and other times not so much. Just depends on when I take my AI (0.5 mg), which is typically every 4-5 weeks depending on symptoms.
