Low estradiol possibly caused by weight loss

Just received my quarterly lab results back. I have been on 100mg cypionate weekly for the last six months with fairly consistent free/total t results and an E2 having been in the high 20s until this last draw. My E2 dropped to 9 pg/mL (ref range 8-43). Free and total numbers only slightly lower than before. I am not on an aromatase inhibitor. I have lost close to 30 lbs in the last 3 months. Is my weight (fat) loss causing less aromatization of T to E2? What now can be done to raise me into the 20s again? Is the weight loss also contributing to my slightly lower free and total numbers? Thanks for any insight.

How do you feel on this protocol? I mean, if you still have a good libido, good energy, etc...the low E2 may be a lab error or a temporary situation until your body adjust to your new weight.

Are you using any dhea? If you're not using dhea, try some for raisng your E2

On my current protocol, I feel just OK, have felt better. My total T on day 7 dropped from 600 to 500 and free T dropped from 155 at the very top of the reference range now to 135. Is my body needing a higher dose at this point? I was taking 50mg DHEA 6 months ago under the care of a different doctor. My current doctor had me discontinue it at the beginning of the year. Next appointment is in a few days.

I agree with coastwatcher, I would split my dose every 3 1/2 days and consider raising the amount of testosterone.

I have tried every 3.5 day subQ injections with my previous doctor. I experienced lots of bruising so went back to weekly IM. I'll inquire yet am somewhat hesitant in injecting myself so many extra times.

Maybe its just me but if I inject sub-Q in the stomach area I can get bruising, but if I inject in the shoulders I do not ever bruise.

For me, a shallow injection in the thighs is no problem. Multiple injections over a week made a world of difference for me.
