Has anybody here suffered from anorgasmia(lack of or reduced pleasure when ejaculating) long term and found a cure? If so, what helped?

I’ve been dealing with this for over 10 years and its destroyed my life.

Thanks for the reply

I’m 32 and the only medication I take is adderall.

I had my testosterone (total and free), estradiol, prolactin and TSH tested about 6 months ago. All of these were mid-range.

I’ve never used finasteride, but I did take an SSRI for about 3 months around the time this started. My urologist thinks the SSRI use has nothing to do with it.

Low dose adderall was one of the medications, that was used in the past to treat anorgasmia. I don't believe that it's used any longer.

Adderall usually improves my libido and the sensitivity of my dick, but it sometimes makes it difficult to stay hard. Doesn’t seem to have any significant impact on the anorgasmia.

I wonder if you tried a little low dose Viagra or Cialis. Some men do report better sensitivity with Ed meds. If you're able to find your labs, it would be nice to see them.

Adderall messes with your neurotransmitters, serotonin, norepinephrine and dopamine, it impacts your brains reward center.
I do not know what SSRI you used but they are notoriously bad on brainchemistry.

Couldn't agree more.

I've taken adderall recreationally and I've had it both ways. I've had it make it very hard to orgasm, only to have a weak orgasm. Other times adderall seemed to enhance my orgasms.

My girlfriend has tried all sorts of SSRI's, and other antidepressants and without question some of her medications make it damn near impossible for her to orgasm and/or give her weak orgasms.

I've had delayed ejaculation/ delayed orgasm since I was diagnosed with HIV in 2013 so I am an expert on the topic. I too have "normal" sex hormones although SHBG is too high and free testosterone is usually in the lower normal range.

SSRI do cause anorgasmia in most patients, but some doctors still live in fantasy land that they don't.

Amphetamine/Ritalin do impair erection and do not help with ejaculation/orgasm.

Ephedrine, pseudo-ephedrine do impair erection but facilitate ejaculation by contracting muscles in the urethra. You can come on those without an orgasm so make difference between ejaculation and orgasm. Intermediate dose of those will speed up ejaculation without impairing erection too much but I do not recommend it.

A thing that worked for me in the past is boosting my free testosterone: either with Anastrozole (aromatase inhibitor) or with HCG injections.

Another thing that has worked consistently is to boost acetylcholine with 200-400 micrograms Huperzine A, a few hours before sex. It increases the probability for your muscles to contract at lower nervous threshold, which orgasm essentially is.

I take HCG shots along with Testosterone and it makes my orgasms stronger and faster...

Adderall causes me major problems with orgasms, making it extremely difficult or impossible to ejaculate. Even 10mgs. It's one reason I don't take it often.

I've also noticed when taking it every day that I have to be off it for several days for the effect to go away.

SSRIs completely kill my sex life so I will not take them. Wellbutrin has the opposite effect and is a fantastic option for those that need an anti-depressant.

You can try Antler deer and herba cistance herb to help improve your orgasm intensity and pleasure, have used a formula that contained both before, trust me, the orgasm i got was so mind blowing the girl i was with was so astound she felt so good thinking she did a number on me when she went down on me

Antler helps regenerate tissues in the body especially down there, so it can easily repair damaged nerves in your male organ

So this is something I discovered by accident while researching medications for anxiety. Buspirone HCL 10MG is prescribed for anxiety. What I learned is that some doctors also prescribe this to guys on an SSRI to help them with orgasm issues caused by those anti-depressants.

I'm not on an anti-depressant but I can tell you this medication does make a difference. I take it 1-2 hours prior to sex.

It might be worth asking your doctor about.

How long did you take the medication before you noticed improvement? How many mg a day?

Aren’t Melatonan II and PT-141 (Vyleesi) two different things? Or are they the same?

Melanotan II and PT-141 are different but from the same original compound Melanotan I.
I've tried PT-141. It acts like viagra with no effect on orgasm for me. Here is my review of it:

In summary, PT-141 had some side effects of face flushing (which diminished significantly with further doses), no significant nausea, body feels cold and achy for 8-9 hours after injecting, somewhat low mood for 8-9 hours after injection, some erection at 3 hours after injection(best with 2mg), spontaneous non sexually provoked erections in 8 hours after injection which turn to very hard erection with sexual stimulus, no effect on libido, no effect on orgasm – still hard to achieve.

In summary, PT-141 helps only with erection but viagra/cialis are just better and cheaper from India. That is why PT-141 is not widely used and is basically a waste of money for me.
