Hi:
I'm 53 years old I'm 5-10" and weight about 190 Lbs I started to feel all of the synthoms of low T about a year ago I went to my doctor in seattle Wa and she order a blood exam and sure enough my T was found at 237 total unfortunately because of my job I had to move to SC and I did not get the testosterone injections that she prescribed she prescribe testosterone enanthate injections 200MG/ml 1 m/l every 2 weeks and thats it.
After I moved to SC I started to read and do research about TRT and found out that you need more than just the T injections anyway I went to a regular doctor spend money and had no success so I came across your website and here I'm I have been trying to get started on TRT but I dont have insurance right now I lost my job and I'm collecting unemployment
So I'm looking for the best and cheapest way to start on my treatment I went to a wellness clinic last week and I spoke to the doctor there and they offer one of those monitoring programs for $200 a month plus 68.00 for the blood work after the first 8 weeks and every 6 months there after.
I paid for the first blood test and got the results last friday they called me and told me my T levels are very very low .... the total T is at 193 now I have to go back on monday and decide if I want to start the treatment.
I'm undecided still and would like to find out if there is a cheapest way i can do this.
The doctor suggested a 1ml of testosterone cypionate once a week and 0.25ml of HCG twice a week for 8 weeksafter that blood work and adjust depending on the results then blood work after 6 months.
like I said I have not commited yet so I would like more info on best possible and cheapest way to do this I need to get started ASAP I really feel like S***t
Thank you

Welcome to Excelmale. I am sorry you are dealing with hypogonadism and unemployment at the same time...I hope something breaks on the job front for you. Can you post your lab results? Not just testosterone. As for medical providers, far too few doctors understand androgen replacement. That means, unless you are fortunate, you work with a specialty clinic. Which, while requiring payment at service, is actually a good thing. Defy Medical is a national practice utilizing a tele-health model. Many members here are patients. You should investigate their website.

Please advise on your lab work and health history. You will generate some good discussion.

Please let me know if you need any other results they did a complete metabolic panel, and lipid panel the test was done by Lab Corp
And everything was in range, the doctor recomends testosterone cypionate 100mg/ml once a week and Hcg 250iu SQ 2x a week and blood work after 7 weeks
Please let me know what do you think about this protocol, I have decided to go ahead with the treatment cause Im really tired of looking for a doctor that would give me a prescription and then waiting for more bood work and finally getting the meds online

As far as my medical history I have been healthy all of my life I dont smoke or drink have never done any drugs and never had any serious health issues I try to stay active Im an aviation mechanic so that requires a lot of phisical work and I play soccer or use to play once or twice a week till I started to feel really tire and down about a year ago.
Thank you again

Mirugel1:

What your doctor is recommending is a sound TRT protocol to start with. T Cypionate 100mg 1xwk plus HCG 250 2 x week is basically what my protocol is and I've been with Defy for almost a year.

We all know what you are going thru with the fatigue, brain fog, libido, etc. so I would definitely do it today. If you decided to start with Defy, you are looking at 3-4 weeks before any T therapy would be administered. They will be there if you need them. At least you can get going and start to have more energy and all the other benefits T therapy provides.

It appears your doctor has pulled the regular estradiol testing from LabCorp. This test is for women. Quest Labs has on their blood test form that "Estradiol, Ultrasensitive, LCMSMS assay is recommended for males." Tell your doctor on the next blood test you want the Estradiol Ultrasensitive test instead of the regular estradiol.

Good Luck!

This is certainly a reasonable starting protocol - far better than what is prescribed for many men. I do wonder if you had a thyroid panel run? TSH, ft3, ft4, rt3, and antibodies? And I caution you: never accept "in range" (when spoken by a doctor) as meaning "normal." Always get copies of your lab work and verify that the results are in a healthy, optimal spot.

Your protocol may may actually need to be adjusted after your first lab work in four to six weeks. Rather than 100mg a week in one injection, you may find better results injecting 50mg every 3.5 days. Time will tell.

Keep us posted on your progress.

Thank you for your reply I did ask for a copy of the results and I got it I do not see results for a thyroid panel.
I'm suppose to get the testosterone cypionate and HCG kit in a few days I have been reading others experiences and I like your suggestion of injecting 50 mg of testosterone every 3.5 days I think I'm going to go that route and post my progress then follow the dr indications and have my blood checked after 7 weeks

Hi : 1 Draw
Thank you for your response
it looks like I will be getting the right dosages of the medications I will be sure to keep my progress posted, I hope I start to notice the benefits soon.
Thanks

Just a question instead of sticking yourself 3 times a week why not split the testosterone dose and inject with HCG twice a week. Both products in the same syringe 50mg test and 250iu's hcg 2x a week. I cant help but feel that 50mg test 2x a week would be better than 100mg once a week.

On your follow-up tests, be sure you measure your estradiol level via the sensitive test, LC, MS/MS. The standard test that many doctors order is of no use to men.

Than hou for your reply PAUL-E :
I do see your point and it makes perfect sense, just injecting 2 times a week sounds perfect I watched the video and I think its a great Idea
Cant wait to get started.

Well finally after so much wait I finally got my meds today I received a complete kit with the testosterone cypionate 100mg/ml and the HCG
Vials to be mixed, along with all of the required syringes and neddles.
I mixed the HCG and proceded to Inject myself for the very first time with 50ml of test the 250icu's of the HCG in one shot as sugested in the video. I will be posting my synthoms if any and progress as I go fwd with the treatment.
