Hi all... I've suffered wi ED last 12mnths or so, low labido, no get up and go at all.. it has effected my mentle state massively as i am married and in early 50s.. I used to have a really good sex drive but no more.. I started cruising as advised by many as I needed to up my test more I was advised, but in truth I noticed no change.. I've recently had blood work and it revealed the following..
17beta oestradiol 282 pmol/l...range is 41-159
Testosterone 39.9nmol/l...........range 6.68-25.7
Free test 0.603nmol/l.........range 0.16-0.47
So what does this all mean and is it why I have no sex drive.. despite my test now being high it's done nothing for me, pls advise if possible

Hi..as regards stuff like viagra prescribed from doctor, I find it only works like 50% of time... I am currently taking 1 shot test sus week, 6.25mg aromasin every other day, 25mg proviron twice daily split am, pm..and 50mg dhea daily.. only been doing this a week and seen no change as yet

Your estrogen is very high (79 pg/mL) and can affect erection quality and kill libido. DHEA increase estrogen on top of your high Total T levels. I only get erections when estrogen is in the 20-30 pg/mL or 70-120 pmol/L.

You need to post all pre-TRT Total T, Free T, estrogen and SHBG levels. SHBG binds sex hormones and dictates TRT protocols. Low thyroid hormone share the same symptoms as low T, what do your thyroid levels look like?

I wouldn't respond well to TRT injecting once weekly do to lower SHBG.

I have a suppressed follicle stimulating hormone , low luteiniaing hormone but high testosterone

Everyone on TRT has suppressed FSH and LH, it's unavoidable.

SHBG = Sex Hormone Binding Globulin. It's likely the missing piece to your puzzle, I am willing to bet yours is low and is why you feel nothing injecting once weekly. If I were to inject once weekly, I would respond poorly to TRT.

I only respond well to TRT when injecting smaller dosages every 2 days.

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
