Latest Blood- Intermittent Sexual Issues

Greetings all! I've been on TRT for about 2 years, at first I was doing 200 mg a week split into two injections with .5 anastrozole at each injection and 500 mg HCG a week. I've experimented with different protocols, but I'm currently at .3ml (200 mg) EOD and .125 anastrozole twice a week, with 500 HCG a week. Latest blood results are as follows- my main issue is erection and libido related- sometimes they're both on, sometimes they're both really off. I stopped taking anastrazole all together a few months ago, but I've recently added back low dose because I think my sexual function is better with E2 in the mid 20s. I was doing 250 HCG EOD but I think that's probably too much HCG for me and I've backed down to 500 recently.

Id drop Test dosage to 80mg X 2 weekly, preferably drop, or cut back the HCG to 250IU 3 X weekly, cut the AI to .25 weekly and wait the 6 weeks. You've got a lot going on there making it hard to zero in on the issue, but having your test that high isn't helping you. Numbers look great on paper but your body doesn't care about the number. It has decided that its being overwhelmed and its not cooperating.

Thanks, I appreciate your perspective. Like I said, I'm currently doing .125 AI 2X weekly and HCG 250 2 x weekly. Why go to 2X weekly on test? I'm low SHBG, so I moved to EOD.

I thought you were splitting your test dose. If not split to 2 times per week, every 3.5 days. Taking too much test at one time can spike E2 and overwhelm your body. Give it time to adjust. Hormones are not like drugs that work with 48 hours, hormones take 4 to 8 weeks to level before the body reacts in a way you can feel.

HCG can be beneficial for atrophy or fertility, but also complicates the equation. I just dropped HCG after a year. It did its job but made balancing things harder. I have more and will use it if atrophy becomes an issue from time to time.

If you split the dosage, you might want to cut the AI amount in half. Bloods will direct you in the right direction.

There are some very experienced people here that will hopefully weigh in. Im just one guy with some experience, but there are some people here with a lot more.

Your DHT is low. U may want to look into lowering ur dose, and adding in a small dose of cream applied to ur testicles. U may also want to look into going on cream only, with some HCG if u want. The cream applied to ur testicles allows u to drop the ai all together due to the high DHT conversion, which opposes E2 to a degree.

@Gman- reference range for DHT is 12-65, so it would appear I'm on the higher end. Should I be out of reference for DHT because of the test?

I wonder if the range has lowered recently. All the times I’ve tested it, the range was (16-79). But regardless, I always felt better sexually when my DHT was around 100. I’ve had it higher, and I’ve had it lower, but as long as it was around 100 I felt pretty good libido and erection wise. I definitely don’t feel optimal in that department when DHT is around where urs is at. Just something to maybe look into, in regards to addressing any sexual issues u may be having, imo

Good to know- I specifically had DHT tested because of these issues. Did you just add androgel to your protocol? I know proviron is the best solution, but it's not available in the U.S. for some unknown reason.

No I never needed a DHT boost. Luckily I convert well into DHT. On injections I usually hovered around 100 for DHT. Sometimes as high as 140, sometimes as low as 70’s.

I did try the cream by itself applied to my testicles, and that shot my DHT up to 311. Didn’t notice any improvements sexually over having DHT around 100
